Join DHS – 2011-2012

We are in the process of accepting members for the 2011-2012 school year.

In accordance with our mission statement, we are trying to provide activities that help home school families.  Many of these activities have a cost.  We also pay building fees for some of our larger activities. We also have to provide liability insurance for the buildings and activities.  These costs are what we use to determine what the membership fees will be.

To sign up for general membership, there are three things that must be done.

  1. Download and fill out the Application and Registration Form (pending upload). Print and mail with your check or bring it with you to your next Deseret activity. The submit button is not working at this time.
  2. Download the Liability Waiver Form. Sign, print and mail it with your check or bring it with you to your next Deseret activity.
  3. Dues for the year are $20 per family. In addition, there is an $8 per family insurance fee if you have children ages 12 and older.

Payment Options

  1. Pay the membership dues by sending your check, made out to “Deseret Homeschoolers”, to Paige Bilyeu at 3202 River Birch Drive Pearland, TX 77584.
  2. Bring your check with you to your next Deseret activity.
  3. Paypal with a processing fee – on this website!
October 1, 2011 is the deadline for completing the above paperwork and paying the annual dues.  After that date, any unpaid members will be removed from the yahoo group. A late fee may be assessed to reinstate membership. We welcome new families all year long.

As a side note, Education Day participation this year are free to all paid Deseret Members, and will occasionally have a small fee that will be determined by the materials purchased by the teachers.
